Rhythmic, involuntary movements that are often the earliest indication of Parkinson’s disease. Sometimes described as shaking and clinically called tremors, these movements commonly affect a hand or the head. In Parkinson’s disease the trembling usually begins on just one side of the body; in other neuromuscular disorders in which tremors are symptoms, the movements often occur on both sides.
